Then again, maybe he *does* have the same effect on
everyone, but it isn't discussed. Sounds like the
beginning of a very disturbing slash. Anything
involving Lockheart is disturbing...



I just had a thought upon reading this.  It had bothered me that 
Hermione and Molly both checked their brains at the door when it came 
to Gilderoy.  

Your suggestion gave me an idea:

Maybe Lockhart is part  [whatever the male equivalent of a Veela is]?
