I understand what you're saying, but if you (and everyone else) don't 
mind, I think I'll just continue to regard it as a mistake that 
wasn't fixed in a later printing. We seem to be divided about it; as 
many people think it's wrong as think it's right and just a case of 
sarcasm, and I don't think we'll ever really know for sure. But 
either way we've probably beaten it to death by now, and should let 
it rest; it's too minor to spend this much time and energy on. Agree?
