OK, thanks for clarifying. I still think there's some cross polination
between the two governments, so all could be taken care of by a secret
computer code that is magically reinforced to be unnoticeable. Harry's
name comes up and is immediately associated with this code and it looks
legit. 
As far as living in the Muggle world, you could still get a job in a
wizard factory, making cauldrons for example, and choose to draw your
salary from Gringotts in Muggle money.
And living in the muggle world just means inhabiting it. It doesn't
necessarily mean participating in it. My neighbor could be a witch
married to a wizard, and they'd look totally normal to me - both going
off to jobs ,etc.
