Right. "wasn't exactly" means it wasn't really hard to miss her.
You couldn't miss her if you tried, even.
In this case, because of the sarcastic tone, the emphasis was that
she was NOT hard to miss because she was huge.
I think it was meant as a smirky comment. But yes, it is confusing.
