Good thought, little Alex!

Guilds could very well be the way Wizards go - what with all the 
various Orders & such that certain characters hold.  Instead of 
pulling out my extremely rusty history knowledge, I figured I'd go to 
a better source:

Seems that the whole instructional system/protection of commerce vibe 
could be the way to go.  And it would tie in nicely with Steve's 
earlier postings of a Medieval model in the cannon.  I figure that 
during the 11th & 12th centuries, while Muggles were guilding all 
over the place, so were the Wizards.
