Floo Regulation Commitee

In COS when Harry and the Weasly's traveled by floo powder to Diagon 
alley everyone took a pinch of floo powder.  In GOF when the Weasleys 
came to  Harry up Mr Weasley threw one pinch into the fire and they 
all travelled by it.  My question to the group is what was the 
difference between the travels in COS and GOF wouldn't it have been 
more economical if nothing else for the Weasleys to have only used 
one pinch instead of one for each person.  We know that it was not a 
time constraint issue because Harry and Mr.Weasley lurked for a few 
minutes it seems to me.  Watching Dudley's tongue grow, and waiting 
for the Dursley's to say goodbye to Harry.  I'm terribly sorry about 
the spelling and punctuation errors in this post because I am typing 
this on a cellular phone and I am having trouble scrolling down.  To 
all of the owners of this group, thank you to all the members, I 
truly enjoy reading the posts that are put forward on this great 
site.  Which   is the best group in Potterverse.  Once again thank 
you for your patience friendly welcome and mind stimulating fun.
