Favorite detail?  There are so many!  My favorites include Sirius 
Black's name, "Wannagoballwitme?", "Draco the bouncing ferret," Black 
allowing Snape's head to scrape the ceiling, "We attacked a 
teacher!", Sirius living off of rats to keep an eye on Harry, Aunt 
Marge getting her comeuppance.

For some reason, I really like all of the fainting scenes.  There are 
quite a few, and something about it strikes a chord.  I guess it is 
the vulnerability a character (particularly Harry) has when he faints.
