Not that my opinion bears any greater weight than that of any other, 
but:

The liklihood of Harry dying is between slim and none (and slim just 
left town).  JKR has been so terribly faithful in supporting her fan 
base that a Harry demise, heroic or otherwise, would be worse than 
telling 100 million children that there is no Santa Claus at hte same 
time.  In other words, she would go down in history as one of the 
great literary "heels" of all time.

I strongly suspect Mrs. Figg will be the next DADA instructor.  BOys 
do not need a girl or any other reason to hate each other. Gotta go.
