Dumbledore is, as has been said, a delightful old name for the bumblebee --
I know JKR has mentioned this.  But I ran across another nifty connection
while I was studying up on werewolves online.  "Dumbledore's Delight" is an
old folk name for ... wait for it ... Aconite Napellum.  Monk's-Hood.
Wolfsbane!

With a name like that, Albus'd almost *have* to have a soft spot for the
poor little werewolf boy, wouldn't he?  *chuckle*  Sorry, definite soft
spot in my head for Lupin ...  ;-]
