Neville Questions....

I have a question to ask anyone about Neville Longbottom.  I am curious why 
he is in Gryffindor when he should be in Hufflepuff.  He is or can be a brave 
kid.  

What happened to him when he was a baby, he must have been younger than Harry 
when his folks were tortured by the Deatheaters.  Was his mom pregnant with 
him? 

What was his grandmother like when he was a baby?
