We agree that Neville will play an important role in future books.  
Though there are parallels between Neville and Peter Pettigrew (as 
there are parallels between Harry and Voldemort), but JKR likes to 
point out to us that it is our choices, not our abilities that define 
us.  So, we see Neville becoming something like the opposite of 
Peter.  We could see him sacrificing himself, perhaps to save Harry.  

Any ideas?
