Remember in SS - the reason why Voldemort didn't want to kill Lily 
Potter, but Harry - and Dumbledore said Harry was to young to know - 
I think Harry is the heir to Gryffindor - will take over the defence 
against the darker side - whether at 17 he'll be too young to do this 
without Dumbledore, i don't know - but I don't think we'll be allowed 
to think that dumbledore will live forever - he won't - and as there 
won't be any books beyons the seventh, maybe JKR will kill him off 
then.
