I agree.  Also, there really isn't a parallel to Lupin in the current 
group.  And, for that matter, Neville has a long way to go before 
he's as "in on the game" as Pettigrew was with the former Marauders.  
And another also, the environment has changed completely.  James, 
Sirius, et al lived in fairly innocent times -- there was no 
Voldemort rampaging through Hogwarts trying to kill them.
