LOL, I certainly never thought of that.  It seemed pretty clear that 
the students were to remember what happened to Cedric as *motivation* 
when faced with the choice, not in a threatening way!

That's not really the same thing, though.  That's just to highlight 
his anger, not to create a sob story situation.
