I don't know about you folks, but I survived a bunch of stuff as a kid that 
would have damaged me a lot more as an adult.  Kids survive all sorts of 
falls, near drownings, beatings, etc...  all the time.  For such fragile 
creatures, they're incredibly tough.

I suspect a car crash could easily kill a wizard.  They are still humans, 
maybe they're tougher in some ways, but they're mortal.
