<gasps> Oh landamercy. I, um, seem to recall that that list member has, um,
sort of left the group ... I'm told that he was eaten up by well-meaning
goat that had got its fairy tales mixed up, thinking it was supposed to eat
the troll, instead of vice versa. (Which also explains what happened to the
!#$% cell phone formerly connected to the number in the signature ... )
Anyway, on to *your* theory ... No, I can't recall having seen that one
before. As I read it, you're suggesting that Tom Riddle received powers
similar to Harry's through his own mother's death at child birth - a very
intriguing thought! In re-birthing himself with the power of hate (instead
of love) he may be destroying the goodness and power he originally had.
(Sort of like being "born again,"only backwards ... )
Still, my favorite interpretation is that Voldemort, like Pettigrew, has put
himself into Harry's debt - and that this debt will have to be payed off.
JKR seems to keep a pretty close tally, as we saw with Snape in PS. Those
two bits give JKR material for at least two more trick endings ...
Baaaaaa!
