<snip> A great resume in V's wand's prior incatatem

I'm a newbie, so please don't be too hard on me if this has been
discussed before, or when you rebate my theory.

Every explanation I've seen in the order of the Potters deaths seems to
be based in the fact that they both had to die AFTER Harry, since there
is no prior incantatem effect on the rebounded spell. However, this
isn't necessary at all, since there is one type of spells that have no
"shadow": spells that, for one reason or another, lack to have their
expected ends. Thus, no shadow of the imperious curses that don't work
on Harry, and no shadow appears of the rebounded AK spell.

Also, there is a second possible explanation I can think of: The AK
prior-incantatem shadow liberates an image of the soul that was taken
by the AK spell. However, the rebounded AK spell takes no soul: not
Harry's, who's protected by his mother's love-spell, and not
Voldemort's, who's too evil by that point to have a soul (as explained
in one of the books). So, the shadow of that particular spell cannot be
shown, since there was no soul taken/destroyed.

Taking this theory as correct, a possible secuence of events in the
fateful night when Voldie was beaten could be:
1) Voldemort is taken to the Potter's house by Wormtail (since he's the
only one that knows were it is).
2) They wait outside until either James or Lily leave (not wanting to
face both of them at the same time)
3) James leaves on some errand or another
4) Voldie enters and attacks Harry. Lily gets in-between, and as she
dies she casts her love-spell over Harry. Harry is, from them on,
protected from Voldie
5) Voldie tries AK on Harry. The spell rebounds, and hits him instead.
His spirit is forced to leave his body, which is destroyed (by the AK
spell?). Voldemort's spirit flees, leaving his wand on the floor
(amongst other things).
6)A DE (posibly Wormtail) picks up the wand, in time to face James who
has arrived too late to save Lily. In state of shock, he cannot defend
himself and receives a blast of AK.
7) Subsecuently, the DE flees the scene (again, posibly Wormtail, since
he didn't kill Harry, who is only protected from Voldemort. Then again,
maybe he didn't want to risk it).

This would explain the way the shadows xome out of the wand, and
several other issues (except JKR's correction).

Hope this made some sense,

Grey Wolf
