hi,
If you take a closer look at all 4 books, you'll notice how JK notes
the distance between each class, and the time they have to move,
change etc. between classes.

One example - a paragraph from CoS: "By the end of the class, Harry,
like everyone else, was sweaty, aching and covered in earth. They
traipsed back to the castle for a quick wash and then the Gryffindors
hurried off to Transfiguration."

As you can see, the time allotted for movement is really long, which
goes to show they are *expected* to take that long to move from class
to class. This goes to show the length of the distance between each
class.

Therefore, I agree with the comment that "40-90 minutes of walking
every day", although the students wouldn't be walking all the time.
In other books, there are frequent mentions of the students hurrying
to their next class because they were late, etc. Of course, this is
ridiculous considering that Hogwarts is a school after all, and
spending 1-2 hours travelling is absurd...

Whatever the case, this does prove the point that the students at
Hogwarts *do* get plenty of excercise, though mostly from travelling
within the school itself.

Any other suggestions?
