Actually, I didn't really describe her relationship with Harry as a 
sibling type one.  I said "almost maternal (or if you hate the 
term "maternal" then big-sisterish)", since IIRC someone had recently 
objected to Hermione being described as maternal.
I have a 13 year old daughter and an 11 year old son, and have often 
heard her speaking to her brother in exactly the sort of way Hermione 
speaks to Harry when she is trying to get him to do what she thinks 
is the responsible thing to do.  I've had to remind her on more than 
one occasion that he already has a mother (g).
