Flitwick a goblin?

Hi,

I checked the FAQ and the Lexicon, and searched through the most recent
10,000 messages, and I don't see anything specific about this. Perhaps
it's only the influence of the celluloid-that-must-not-be-named, but
does anyone else think Flitwick might be a goblin? Or part-goblin? A
goblin might be forbidden to use a wand (I can't remember what FB says
on this), but a half-goblin would possibly not have this restriction
(going on Hagrid's example).

In my search, I did see some speculation that Flitwick might be part
house-elf (I don't think that was entirely serious) or a dwarf.

Ok, once I extended my search past the first 10000 messages (do you
realize that only goes back to June??) I found where Alice speculated
just a bit toward this back in message 21337, and Tabouli responded that
this had been speculated on before. But not much else.

Am I the only one who thinks this is interesting? Especially in light of
the stress Binns seems to put on the Goblin Uprisings?

Elizabeth
(trying gamely to start a conversation on something other than shipping)
