Oh, I was quite upfront about this influence when I started this thread. I
hadn't thought of it before, either. I wondered if it wasn't a coincidence,
is all. Rowling was somewhat involved with the film. (I won't debate how
much on this list.)
OTOH, if there are descriptions of Flitwick from canon that conflict with
this, I'd be happy to hear about them. All I recall is that he's very short
and has a squeaky voice.

Regarding my earlier outburst... generally, I find the soap-opera threads
boring, and generally I do ignore them. It seemed to me that since Cindy
was yanking my chain, so to speak, I was obliged to return the favor. :)
If you really want me to play this silly game, here are my answers (to my
own questions, no less):
> Who will Hermione end up with?
VOLDEMORT. She will become exasperated with Harry and Ron and turn
completely to the DARK side. MWAH HA HAH!
> Are the students having sex in the halls of Hogwarts?
Why wait 'till they get there? Notice how we never hear about what's going
on in the other compartments of the Hogwart's Express? They're just
"occupied."
> Who's cuter, Sirius or Snape?
Two dark, brooding guys who need to learn a thing or two about hair care.
Hm. Bit of a toss-up. Then there's Lupin, he's got lots of problems, too. I
do like men with problems. Makes me feel important. Hm.... But then,
Flitwick sounds "cute", if not attractive.... Bill and Charlie are a bit
young for me, even if the burn scars do have a certain appeal, and that
earring.... Hagrid is too distracted by his menagerie.... But wait! Sirius
and Severus are almost never willingly in the same place at the same time.
Couldn't I two-time them and string Lupin along in my spare time?

Was this in an interview? I know my memory is failing with age, but it
doesn't sound like something we'd hear from Harry's POV....
Elizabeth
(Who really does try to emulate a sense of humor. Maybe with the next
upgrade it will be more convincing....)
