*grin*  In "Mists of Avalon" (which I received the DVD for an anniversary 
present and I also have the book) Gareth is the youngest.  Mordred is 
fostered by Morgause and treats her as a mother, but she is not his true 
mother.  

I can see Ron in Gareth's role, easily.  Gareth loved Arthur and was 
devastated by Guenwhyvar and Lancelot's treachery.
