Why do why think there IS only one way to pronounce Voldemort? There 
are bunches of different ways "Harry" is pronounced in the book - 
based on original language of the speaker (English, French, etc.), 
dialect (tendancy to drop /h/ sounds at the beginning of words, for 
example), etc. Tons of words in English have three or four standard 
dictionary pronuncations, plus scads of dialect prononciations. 
"You say tomato, I say tomahto...you say Voldemor...I say VoldemorT. 
Let's call the whole thread off, OH! Let's call the whole thread 
off!"

ps. Just kidding about calling the whole thread off - since I 
actually teach pronunciation I eat this stuff up. Different threads 
for different folks.
