Harry's parents House

Hello, I am new to the group, frantically trying to keep up with the 
posts while sticking to the guidelines. I have a question and don't 
know if it has been discussed, and yes I tried to search for it in 
the archive but did not have any luck. If it has, and you know how to 
find it quickly, I would appreiciate anyone to  show me the way...
I was reading the last digest, and there was a heading that made me 
think this: In SS ( I think!!), Hagrid tells Harry that his parents 
were Head Boy and Girl. Do they ever mention what house they were in? 
My assumption is Gryffindor, but is this ever stated anywhere? I also 
have a question about Harry's grandparents, just theories about why 
we haven't heard about them yet (there is no mention that they died, 
either set.) but I want to check the archive for that before I ask a 
more in depth question ;) It just occured to me that while they talk 
a bit in the book about Harry's parents at Hogwarts, it's never stuck 
in my brain what house they were in.
