Voldemort is the heir of Slytherin - Dumbledore and Tom confirm this in CoS, but all we know about 
Harry is that he is a 'true Gryffindor' - not necessarily by blood, just because he belongs in that House. 
The premise is that as his parents lived in Godrics Hollow, and he pulled the sword out, he is the heir of 
Gryffindor - I think it's all a bit too Sword in the Stone for JKR to go with that idea. I do believe that 
Trelawny's first real prediction is something about the Potters defeating the heir of Slytherin though!

  I  would suggest that Trelawney's first "accurate" prediction *can't* be 
anything about the defeat of Voldemort, because Dumbledore wouldn't 
yet be able to count it as a true predicti
