  Presumably this would have been either Dumbledore or Petunia 
Dursley, but the plan of action Voldemort ended up going with to 
obtain Harry's blood seems to be a deviation from this. I have the 
impression that Voldemort is/would be hedging his bets a lot more 
this time around, and is using a lot more contingency planning.
