Bah! I will not pledge to post that Hagrid was a good teacher. No
one can make me do that ::shudder::. However, I definitely will not
dance a jig of glee (10 House points for anyone who knows what tv show
that came from) if Hagrid or anyone else I do not like dies. I will
think it is very sad. If JKR has Hagrid die, I am sure it will be
quite tragic. I cannot imagine she will have him die the way Cedric
did, like Cindy said, with no meaning to it (that was pretty tragic
too, actually). I will also be sad for Harry and his friends, because
they will have lost a good friend and protector. Just because I don't
like Hagrid doesn't mean I think he's a bad character. His heart is
always in the right place and he adores Harry; he's just irresponsible
in a way that irritates me to no end.
Unlike Cindy, I am not a fan of grisly and gruesome things. I never
wish death for anyone, even characters as loathesome as Lockhart or
the Dursleys.
