Dear Potterversians:
All of the conjecture and suggestions to JKR about her post-seven works and
plans puts me in mind of another individual whose collected work is known as
the Canon to its aficionados.
At one point the author tired of his creation because he wished to devote his
time to his more serious work. He tried to kill him off in what became
mid-series.
I am of course referring to Sherlock Holmes and the misadventures of his
creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. After a ten year hiatus the return of
Holmes was marked by "The Hound of the Baskervilles" and followed by another
30 or so stories.
I fear that JKR may be tempting the fates if she thinks that her journey in
the Potterverse will be limited to seven steps.
To JKR: Your creation assumes a life of its own far beyond the ken of mere
mortals. There is strong magic at work here! ((:-)
