I think there is a big difference in pre-Azkaban and post-Azkaban
Sirius. I believe he was rather immature at 16, and you are right, he
is neither cruel nor stupid. I still can't make sense of the
Snape/Lupin incident, and I think Penny might be right when she says
that we don't know everything about it.

I understand your point, but I see a difference between having a hot
temper because it is his nature and having a hot temper because of a
psychiatric disorder. The first one is inherited and will persist
forever, the latter one can be treated, and we have seen that it had
already worn off a bit (at least as far as we could see) in GoF.

They are also my favorite characters, but I have a pronounced
preference for Sirius, maybe because of his tragic story.
