You have a very good point, Kelley. The thought still pains me, but you have
a very good point. And it strikes me that if this were the case, we maybe
getting set up for it through Sirius and Remus each apparently being willing
to believe the other was the spy who betrayed James and Lily. Presumably
there were "reasons" each could think of for the other to go bad too. But,
they were also willing to believe the truth when confronted with it because
they knew each other so well. I think this is probably the most convincing
theory I have heard on this topic, because, as you say, the elements are
already there. But, oh, the idea still gives me a tummyache...
