*sigh* Yes, and I also hate when people dismiss Hermione as 
being "not strong." There was an article in my local paper awhile 
back pointing out the fact that there are no strong women in the HP 
world, and I was so incredibly offended that I went around ranting 
and raving about it to anyone who would listen (I wish I'd been on 
this list at the time). I'm very much like Hermione in a lot of ways: 
I'm rather compulsive about my grades, I enjoy learning and studying 
(I don't have the photographic memory she must have though), I love 
reading, and I try to follow the rules if at all possible. I was 
completely offended by the fact that people thought that those very 
attributes made her not strong or uninteresting.

None of them fit stereotypes, in my opinion. I think that by the end, 
they will all have had the chance to save the day (as already 
happened in SS/PS with the obstacles to get to the stone).
