Canon Harry is way more interesting than almost any fanon Harry I've 
encountered--but that's to be expected.  JKR's a better writer than 
all or most fanfic writers, and besides, Harry is her character--or 
rather, she's the person whose head he chose to stroll into.

Someone else confessed to finding (canon) Harry a bit boring--I think 
that's what started this thread.
