  I've heard of that too, so I just assumed it was an urban myth.  Unfortunately, it would seem that it isn't.  I have also heard of the name Target (tar-ZHAY).  

  It would seem that the majority of younger wizards have more mugglish names now, but then we haven't heard all of them, only the ones Harry comes in contact with.  Perhaps the older wizards come out of a sort of "flower-child" era in which weird names became popular.  Or maybe these are old family names that, like some muggle names, have gone out of style.  Naming trends come and go.  Nowadays there aren't as many Hirams, Mollys, Graces, and Grants as there are Lauras, Justins, Jennifers, Ashleys and Alexies.
