The only way I can see Hermione joining the Quidditch team is as the 
coach. Hermione would probably read every book on Quidditch strategy 
and would spend her coaching time regurgitating what she has read. How 
effective she would be is questionable, since she has no hands-on 
experience. 

Disclaimer: This might sound anti-Hermione but it only follows her 
Canon modus operandi.
