Amanda, you're preaching to the converted with me. <g>  I've been 
championing Rickman for Snape all along; since at least May?  June?  
July?  Whenever the first film-casting threads came up, anyway.  
People who had only seen him in "Sense and Sensibility" couldn't 
imagine him in a not-nice role.  I said "Watch him in "Die Hard" 
(where I first fell in love with him), and you'll see."  Tim Roth 
would have done well, I'm sure, but Rickman will positively nail the 
role of Snape.  I only meant passable as far as the age issue, 
anyway...
