Speaking as one of the lunatic purists who doesnt read fanfic, I have 
found that even without the fan ficI manage to remember details that 
dont seem to exist.  For example, I am (well, was) convinced that 
somewhere in the HP books is a reference to another newspaper, The 
Evening Prophet.  However, when I looked thru all 4 books for it I 
couldnt find it.  Am I imagining things?  Is it something I read on 
this group?  Am I insane? (dont answer that question, please).
