I too *hated* that Jo didn't end up with Laurie!!  Hated it!  I haven't
been able to re-read Little Women or any of the other Alcott books as a
result.  Not only is the Amy/Laurie pairing despicable, but the fact
that she stuck Jo with the Professor!  Nope -- this H/H shipper has
never forgiven Alcott for that either.  <g>
