Hate to burst your bubble, but it already happened.  Remember how he won the 
House Cup for Gryffindor in PS/SS?  He stood up to Harry, Hermione, and Ron. 
  I think this task is more difficult- to stand up to your friends, rather 
than your enemies.

Someone earlier mentioned that Neville might be the Scabbers of the group.  
This is a good theory, seeing as he is the weak one of the Gryffindors, but 
I  disagree.  J.K.Rowling has made the Scooby-Doo group out of 3, not 4.  
Maybe originally she was going with 4, but after PS/SS, Neville was excluded 
more and more.
