I wonder if MWPP didn't tell Fred and George how to
work the map. When Snape, having confiscated it from
Harry, tries to activate the map, he eventually gets
some insults out of MWPP. Since Fred and George are
boys after the original Marauders' own hearts, I can
easily imagine the Weasely twins getting something
more useful out of the map than just insults.
