Thank you for remembering the name. I can never remember the name
even tho' I immediately saw their image when reading of Neil's 
Licorice Fountains: one-color-striped white paper tubes looking like 
drinking straws with the ends crimped shut. They contain colored 
flavored powdered sugar -- that must be what Neil means by 'sherbet 
powder' (sherbet or sherbert, I can never remember?). There is no 
licorice tube involved and they didn't come in a licorice flavor when 
I was young.
