The only example I've heard of is the word "hobbit". If you want to write
about hobbits, you have to use one of the synonims - "Perian", for instance.

But if Mrs. Stouffer seriously thinks that her works are matching the
artistic level of Tolkien's, IMHO lawyers are not the kind of specialists
she needs most.
