My mom's (I tried calling her "Mum" recently and she just stared at
me) family is of Scottish heritage, and the lot of them have either
very red or true black hair - although I think Ender is right about
many "black"-headed folks actually being dark brunettes. As far as
the cover, Amy, I'm with you - the hair isn't canon, but it's how I
imagine Harry (vertical scar and all).
Obviously just rambling (and wishing she'd inherited either black or
red hair),
