SV: [HPforGrownups] Horizontal or Vertical?

I always imagined it neither vertical nor horizontal but in a slanting direction not necessarily 45 degrees. I don't know why either.

  You know, when I read the books I pictured the scar as horizontal. I 
  don't know why, I just did (still do, as a matter of fact). Isn't 
  that the way you would imagine a real lightening - jagging *across* 
  the sky? Anyway, I didn't even know that other people would think of 
  it as vertical until I saw it mentioned here.
