On an only marginally related but humorous note, I am told by old
classmates from my high school, Winston Churchill High School in San
Antonio, that they got some interesting reactions to the "WC" on their
class rings and baseball caps and such when they were in Europe. Who
knew it stood for water closet? Who in Texas even knew what a water
closet *was*?
