Ow-ow-ouch! Poor Dai! I hope the water didn't damage books and art 
and the misadventure of electricity and heat didn't start a fire!

Considering the proverb that everything that involves building 
contractors takes twice as long and costs four times as much money as 
estimated, possibly you should be hunting for a new residence.
