That is not how it appears to me. It seems to me that Molly approves 
highly of Percy. "How come Percy got new robes?" "Because he's a 
PREFECT," Molly said fondly. (Probably getting him an owl as reward 
for becoming a prefect was at least partly her idea.) She's proud of 
his twelve OWLs (and yells her head off at the twins for not getting 
enough OWLs), being a prefect, and being Head Boy, and and getting a 
job at the Ministry is what she wants all her sons to do. It seems to 
me that she favors him and is attempting to spoil him.
