Hi catlady!  (I'm one too.)

Fleur and Roger do escape Snape's notice, but their "intimate conversation" 
<ahem> does take place in a rosebush (now, that *can't* be very comfortable) 
and ends when Madame Maxime's voice "explode[s] through the peaceful night 
air like a foghorn."  ("Behind him, Harry heard Fleur and Roger fall out of 
their rosebush."--hilarious line, no?)
