Fanon "ruining" canon (was Obsessiveness quiz)/purity

I, too, in order to be pure, have read no fan fiction.

Draco remains a miserable, nasty and malicious boy who 
says incredibly vicious things to Ron, Harry and Hermione, actively
tries to get Hagrid fired and his hippogrif murdered, lies to
the press in order to discredit Harry...in short, he's vile.

Snape remains a teacher who is very abusive and unfair to Harry and
the Gryffindors, and has no redeeming qualities. I trust Albus 
Dumbledore (this is how I'm over the edge, I think of Professor 
Dumbledore as a real person), so I believe that Snape is no longer
a DE. His behavior towards, Harry and towards Sirius Black, was 
despicable.

It's possible that Lupin and Black were lovers -- neither of them 
makes reference to any female partner/interest --- so that's still a 
possible situation.

Susan (who may read Fan Fiction after the last book is published and
