As a child I read many children's books in which a character I have
loved died. And, yes, I was devestated when that character died
(Matthew, Walter, Judy, Bets...Any of these names ring a bell, Ebony?

gameplan and whoever does die, she will have let us know what
his/her/their sacrifices were and why it was necessary. I trust her
to take us where we need to be. And, no matter exactly *who* it will
be, I will be needing a box of tissues and major therapy from y'all
to work through my grief.
