No, it can't be that the blood wasn't taken in the right way, or the spell
wouldn't have worked and Voldemort wouldn't be back. I think taking the
blood from Harry while Harry was tied up and helpless still qualifies as
taking by force. And I think it had to be taken by someone that Harry knew
for an enemy, thus knowing himself their enemy (if you know what I mean),
so a clandestine bloodletting by Crouch/Moody wouldn't do--Harry was not
his enemy.
Did that make sense?
